As  a part of its development, Qubit Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Research Scientist to support current projects using docking and virtual screening (VS) approaches.

The perfect fit for this job

We are seeking a research scientist with time and project management skills and an analytical mindset. We are looking for a candidate who can collaborate effectively with other research scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.

Your role

• Support the development and the implementation of docking and virtual screening tools and approaches

• Support small molecules preparation/optimization, and the application of docking and virtual screening approaches within drug discovery projects

Your Qualifications

• PhD in computational chemistry or bioinformatics

• Minimum of 6 years working experience in a research lab or a pharmaceutical company or startup

• Knowledge of molecular encoding and molecular file format and manipulation (sdf, smi, mol2, pdbqt...)

• Knowledge of basic chemoinformatics concepts (Chemical space, similarity search, substructure search...)

• Experience with virtual screening methods (docking, pharmacophore, QSAR..)

• Proficient with RDKit or similar chemoinformatic packages

• Proficient with Chemaxon or similar chemoinformatic packages

• Data analysis and statistical concepts

• Ability to perform VS post-processing analysis

• Experience with VS strategy conception and design

• Contribution to VS tools, or methodology development

• Contribution to the development of docking tools (sampling or scoring algorithms)

• Major contribution to a chemoinformatics package/tool development

• Structural biology knowledge
